laini’s little vacation list. It’s short and sweet but don’t be fooled—it’s packed with more fun than any one person could fit into a single weekend.
Month: September 2011
There are some truly great events happening this weekend. Some require tickets, and you can save some money if you get them in advance. Time’s running out to do that, so you may want to do it soon. Have a great time!
Tomorrow, at about 10 am, First Lt. Bruce Lawrence’s funeral procession will come over the Free Bridge from Phillipsburg. It will be a procession of an estimated 2,000 motorcycles and cars following a horse-drawn carriage. He was a Phillipsburg High School grad and a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War. His jet was shot down over N. Vietnam in 1968. His remains were discovered in June. Tomorrow they will be brought home.
Food loving parents, unite! It’s not impossible to take your kids out to eat and expose them, carefully and thoughtfully, to good food.
We use the finest color and products—hair and earth-friendly, all in a small, intimate atmosphere. Our lighting is true-to-natural light. So there is no guesswork as to how your color looks outside!
So much music, so much art, so much reason to love being in the Valley this weekend. Enjoy!
Did you go to VegFest? Are you sad you missed it? Either way, if you are curious about vegan cooking but don’t know where to start, we have a recipe for you.
“We talk about remembrance, remembering the people who died, remembering the people who suffered, remembering the people who still suffer … and also to turn that remembrance into hope,” he said. I understand hope as faith that looks forward.”
Lots of opportunities here to have fun, do some good, and remember.
