Larry Holmes is the most famous Eastonian. This year marks his induction into the Boxing Hall of Fame and the 30th anniversary of his win over Ken Norton, which earned him the title Heavyweight Champion of the World. He remained Champ for seven years, defending his title against such greats as Shavers and Ali.
