1. Historic Downtown Cleanup and Earth Day Celebration
Saturday from 9am to 2pm, Main and Broad Sts., Bethlehem
Help keep Bethlehem clean in celebration of Earth Day! Join others from the Valley in cleaning up the Historic Downtown District in the City of Bethlehem!
2. Forks of the Delaware Shad Fishing Tournament
Saturday, April 28 through Friday, May 4th from 9am to 9pm, Scott Park, Easton
Visit Scott Park for the Annual Forks of the Delaware Shad Fishing Tournament and celebrate one of the rites of spring, the migration of the Shad.
3. Allentown Symphony Orchestra Family Concert with Bill Harley
Sunday at 2pm, Allentown Symphony Hall, 23 N. 6th St., Allentown
From the Allentown Symphony Hall website: “Bill Harley brings “Jack and the Beanstalk” and other great stories to life! Two-time Grammy Award-winner Bill Harley joins the ASO for our annual Family Concert. 4. Opening Reception for Michael Burmeister’s Loose Luv | Tighthunder
Friday from 6 to 10pm, Soft Machine Gallery, 725 N. 15th St., Ste. 7, Allentown
Michael Burmeister’s abstract, poetic and literary paintings seem to bridge the gap between belief and irony, statement and question and even self and relationship. There will be experimental jazz by Mike Lorenz from 7:30 to 9:30pm.
5. JCC Juried Fine Craft Show
Sunday from 10am to 5pm, Jewish Community Center of Allentown, 702 N. 22nd St., Allentown
Thirty-five crafters and artisans from up and down the East Coast will make up this Fine Craft Show. It’s a perfect place to find a unique Mother’s Day gift.
6. Madness – Party Like it’s 1965
Friday from 7:00 to 9:30pm, UnderWired & Sew on & So Forth!, 91 E. Broad St., Bethlehem
