1. Lehigh Valley Food & Wine Fest
Sunday from Noon to 4 pm, Sands Casino Resort – Bethlehem, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem
Check out the offerings of over 20 of the Lehigh Valley’s best restaurants at this annual fundraiser for the Northampton Community College Foundation. Click here to see a cool little video about this great outdoor event. Also, while you’re at the Sands, visit Emeril’s Italian Table, the Lehigh Valley’s newest restaurant, and Emeril’s first Italian restaurant. Saturday’s opening day!
2. First Friday
Friday from 6 to 10 pm, South Side Bethlehem
Visit the stores and restaurants on Bethlehem’s amazing South Side for this monthly community event. Definitely stop by Home & Planet while you’re there as DJ Telly will be playing his always-awesome mix of music. While there, check out the “Lost & Found” exhibit in the gallery and their new line of patio seating.
3. Live at Riverside – the James Supra Blues Band
Friday at 7:30 pm, Riverside Amphitheater in Riverside Park, Larry Holmes Drive, Easton
I’m not sure that the weather can get much better than this to sit outside by a river and listen to one of the best blues harmonica players in the Valley. This is part of a free, monthly live music series.
4. PBS 39 First Annual MicroBrew Festival
Saturday from 2 to 5 pm, Coca Cola Park, Allentown
From the event’s website: Nearly 30 craft brewers will be the main attraction; focusing on the micro brew phenomena that is so strong and well-loved in this region. In addition to beer tastings gourmet cooking demonstrations and live music will be components of the event. Ballpark concessions will also be available for purchase.
5. NoShows Art & Music Collective
Friday from 6:30 to 10 pm, Blue Sky Café, 22 W. 4th St., Bethlehem
From the Facebook event page: The NoShows is a collective of artists and musicians established in 2007. Our main objective is to bring creative people together in order to share our work with the community and help raise awareness as well as interest in art and global issues.
This year the artist and musicians behind “The NoShow” have come together for a special cause. We have put together a charity event for the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation in memory of Aaron Abraham Abud who tragically lost his life while volunteering for the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation in the Dominican Republic.

7. National Trails Day Event
Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm, Slatington Trailhead, Route 873, Main St., Slatington

8. “Orchestrating Stillness” Opening Reception
Saturday from 4 to 6 pm, Isadore LaDuca Gallery, 7 N. Bank St., Easton
Paintings by Carol Magnetta will be exhibited during this reception in one of Easton’s finest artist’s gallery spaces. Come by early to visit the weekly “Artists in the Alley” happening that goes on in the Bank St. Alley.
9. 3rd Annual Kilt Crawl
Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, Downtown Bethlehem
From Celtic Classic’s website: The Celtic Cultural Alliance is looking to supporters of the famed Bethlehem festival to “get on their kilts” and walk the streets of town in an effort to raise money for the 2012 “Celtic Classic Parade of Shamrocks.” The 3rd annual Kilt Crawl will wind through the streets of Historic Downtown Bethlehem and visit local pubs along the way.
