“iDeX: Creativity” Tomorrow Night at Lehigh

I love watching the most innovative and creative people talk about how their big ideas are changing the world. A few people at Lehigh University were inspired to create iDeX: Creativity, an exciting and fast paced idea exchange featuring stories and performances by some of the Lehigh Valley’s most successful innovators. Local visionaries want to share the ways they’ve used arts and culture to help the community and iDeX: Creativity is designed to be a platform for these individuals to inspire innovation and progress.

For instance, when you think about what’s big in the Valley, Musikfest comes to mind. Jeff Parks, founder of ArtsQuest and the ten-day music festival that attracts more than a million people to downtown Bethlehem, will be among the storytellers conveying his story of building ArtsQuest from the ground up. The aim is to inspire anyone seeking to start his or her own non-profit organization.

Joining him on Tuesday evening is Margelle Liss, who sits on the advisory board for the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Organization, and Zeke Zelker, a local independent film producer who uses using trans- and social media to fund and develop his new film, Billboard Movie. These speakers have firsthand experience using their creativity to innovate.

There will be many more impressive artists, performers and creative entrepreneurs at the event, which will be a great opportunity to network and build relationships with our local visionaries. Visit the event page on Facebook to check out videos and content from all of the presenters and tell your friends and family that this is an experience they won’t wan to miss.

I’m thrilled that Lehigh Valley is rich with creative leaders. This event takes place Tuesday evening, November 16th at 6 p.m. in Packard Lab Auditorium at Lehigh University. iDeX: Creativty is where the future of the Lehigh Valley’s creative economy will be on display. Will you be there?
