“In the Life” Witnesses the British Invasion
Words and Photos by Jandee Weninger
The crowd at Easton’s Third Street Alliance Saturday night witnessed some of the best belly dancers you will find within a 2-hour drive. The British Invasion of the Belly Dancers was a spectacular show; dancers from all different styles came together to perform to the Beatles, Queen, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy and the Stones. All proceeds from this show went to the Third Street Alliance. It was a great cause, a great show and great people made it happen. Porters’ Pub provided the delicious food. Vendors sold clothing, jewelry, soaps, scarves and, of course, salsa. The Embers and Emeralds Belly Dance Troupe hosted this event and made sure everything went off without a hitch. The very entertaining Art Feinberg was the master of ceremonies. Fred True served as the flawless sound man and Thomas Berger the highly skilled stage manager.
