2. First Friday
Friday from 6 to 10 pm, Southside Bethlehem
October 1st + Friday = First Friday! Highlights include the opening of “Alterations– Refashions by Susan Huxley” at Home & Planet and the arrival of boots for fall at Shuze.
3. Mercantile Home Grand Re-Opening
Saturday from 4 to 8 pm, 140 Northampton St., Easton
Celebrate the opening of the new location of this wonderfully eclectic shop and gallery.
4. Historic Bethlehem Secret Garden Tour
Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, Historic Downtown Bethlehem

5. 34th Annual House Tour – Old Allentown

6. Oral Cancer Awareness 5K
Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Bethlehem Township Municipal Park, 2900 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem
The $20 registration fee includes an oral cancer screening (with a device that is new on the market, a$30-$125 value), a t-shirt, and a meal! 9:30 AM register, 11AM walk start.
7. NY Jazz Repertory Orchestra – Tribute to the Big Bands
Saturday at 8 pm, Zoellner Arts Center’s Baker Hall, Bethlehem
The orchestra salutes the enduring sounds of Artie Shaw, Count Basie and others.
8. Northampton County Open Gate Farm Tour
Saturday from 12 to 4 pm, Burnside Plantation, Bethlehem
Discover colonial Burnside Plantation at the Fall Harvest Festival. Kids of all ages will have the chance to show off their creative flair while painting a pumpkin and creating a candle, hand-dipped themselves! Experience a cooking demonstration in the summer kitchen and a presentation on spinning and weaving. Capture the memory of your day by taking a photo dressed up in colonial attire. Explore the beautiful grounds including tours of the garden, barns, and farmhouse. Lastly don’t forget to meet Bethlehem Police Department’s Mounted Unit and the horses.
9. 3rd Annual West End Oktoberfest
Saturday from 2 to 10 pm, 19th and Liberty Sts. area, Allentown
Enjoy live music and performances, great food and fun activities for families and children, including a pumpkin decorating contest.
