Walking the Walks: River Walk in Easton, the Debut Post

By laini Abraham

I’ve been walking for a long time. Well, of course I have, you might be saying. But I’m not just talking about the step after crawling. I’m talking about putting on good shoes to walk in, going out the door, and just walking until I don’t feel like going any further. Then I turn around. I started walking for exercise when I was in college, almost 20 years ago. There, in New Brunswick, NJ, like in Easton, I walked by the rivers and the canals. Walking isn’t just good for the body, but it’s good for the head. I like to do it to clear mine.

Now I walk mostly to walk my dog, Boomer. But I always have my phone with me and am unable to resist taking photos, especially in the morning. So now I will occasionally post some of these photos. I will admit that lately, especially in the winter, most of my walks are limited to Easton because this is where I live. But as the weather gets nicer, I’m going to make it a point to walk in lots of different places. I’ll go back to ones I haven’t walked in a while, but love, like Sand Island in Bethlehem, and go discover new ones. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Where do you like to walk?
