Fabulous Finds Friday: Nature’s Way Market

In my quest to become a healthier eater and enjoy a better lifestyle, I have often been referred to the impressively stocked Nature’s Way Market. Although this natural and organic grocer has been situated in Easton’s vibrant downtown for 35 years, I have only recently learned of its offerings.

Toward the front of the store you’ll find fresh, seasonal organic fruits and veggies at fair market prices. The aisles are filled with healthcare needs, vitamins, gluten-free products, cosmetics, personal care items, all-natural snacks, and even pet goods. I love browsing and smelling the handmade soaps, such as the almond and lavender; there’s certainly a scent to match your personality. If you’re interested in curing ailments naturally and taking care of your skin without chemical additives, Nature’s Way stocks a variety of creams, pastes, lotions and more for some of your personal health needs. Believe me, the selection is so phenomenal that I could spend paragraphs delving deeper. I’ll leave it up to you to discover it for yourself.

For someone like me who is admittedly new to natural and organic living, the selection can become rather overwhelming. However, there’s usually a friendly employee who can easily point you in the right direction. There’s even an onsite herbalist once a week for brief consultations–the array of herbs, available for therapeutic teas, is staggering. This place is truly natural and organic heaven.

In the back, you’ll find a section filled with bulk grains, beans and seeds galore just ready for the choosing. Fill a bag with a variety of beans just perfect for a homemade soup or stew. I’m quite fond of the oatmeal to start my morning off right. No doubt, the granola is another smart choice. The spice wall is rather remarkable, too. A frozen and refrigerated food section features dinners, seafood, ice cream and frozen yogurt, soy and dairy and meat and meat alternatives.

Grab a couple of quarters for the meter and head down to your friendly–and what I hope will become your favorite–-natural food market. By the way, visit the Web site for more information, recipes, a health calculator and more. It’s impressive–just like the shop!
