2. Nutcracker Repertory Dance Theatre and The Allentown Symphony Orchestra

Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm, Allentown Symphony Hall, 23 N. 6th St., Allentown

Excitement is in the air as Repertory Dance Theatre kicks off its 22nd production of Nutcracker. Don’t miss the only Nutcracker in the Lehigh Valley with live music.

This holiday season, buy locally created art! Here’s a great place to do it. You can find one-of-a-kind gifts such as knitted and crocheted hats and scarves, jewelry, hair accessories, home décor, original art and more. Demos by artists will be held on Saturdays throughout the season. Remember, friends don’t let friends shop in big boxes.

4. Bethlehem’s LIVE Advent Calendar

Everyday at 5 pm, through December 24th, Goundie House Door, 501 Main St., Bethlehem

Join the growing holiday tradition in Downtown Bethlehem! Every night at 5 pm, the Goundie House Door will open with a surprise for the crowd!  Performances, discounts, goodies….ANYTHING is possible!

5. Bethlehem by Night Tours

Thursdays through Sundays, through December 30, Tours depart from Historic Bethlehem Visitor Center, 505 Main St., Bethlehem

A guide in period dress takes you back in time as you enjoy a 45-50 minute tour of the Christmas City. Highlights include the unique religious heritage of the town under the guiding influence of its early Moravian founders and the progression of power and innovation that marked the city’s later entrepreneurial and industrial spirit. Presented by Historic Bethlehem Partnership.

6. A Christmas Carol

Thursday through Sunday at 8 pm, Also 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday, Civic Theatre, 527 North 19th Street, Allentown

Scrooge, Tiny Tim, Bob Crachit, the Fezziwigs and all of the characters you’ve come to love return in this traditional presentation of the Charles Dickens classic!

7. 101st Luminary Night

Saturday Night, All Over the North and South Sides of Bethlehem

Luminaria Night is a beautiful and enchanted evening when all the businesses on the Southside & in the Historic District Downtown line their streets with luminary bags – white bags with votive candles burning inside. Come enjoy the ambiance!

8. Ballroom Latin Swing Dancing

Friday from 8 to 11 pm, Marie’s Dance Center, 345 Northampton St., Easton

Need a break from shopping? Go dancing! If you miss it tonight, you can check this next time. It happens every 2nd Friday of the month.
