Laini’s List of 9 Things To Do in the Lehigh Valley This Weekend – February 18, 19 & 20

1. Benefit for the 13th & Allen Community

Sunday from 5 to 11 pm, Pitchers Sports Bar & Grille, 570 Union Blvd., Allentown

Are you wondering what you can do to help the people who lost their homes in last week’s gas explosion? Well, here it is. All you need to do is show up, pay $10 at the door, and have a good time with lots and lots of other Lehigh Valley people who want to help. This is an all-ages event so bring the whole family!

2. FriendFest 2011

Saturday from 2 to 9 pm, Kutztown Fairgrounds, Beltzner Hall, Kutztown

Want to take a little drive and support a good cause? Check out FRIENDFEST, the third annual Benefit Beer and Wine Festival. Enjoy international craft beer and decadent local wine as vendors share their artistic and delicious spirits!

3. Fresh Voices: Performed by Anne Losq and Mariel Iezzoni

Friday and Saturday at 8 pm, Touchstone Theatre, 321 E. 4th St., Bethlehem

Original actor-created, ensemble-based works in progress. Touchstone hosts two apprentices for its 2010-11 season: Anne joins the company for her second year, all the way from France, and Mariel comes to us much closer to home from right here in Bethlehem. See what this year’s class creates while training with the Touchstone Ensemble. Always fresh, sometimes provocative, never ordinary.

4. Maria Woodford and Jake Heck with Rob Fraser Live

Saturday from 10 pm to 1 am, Porters’ Pub, 700 Northampton St., Easton

Check out this super-talented trio in the ever-intimate space that is Porters’ Pub.

5. Dancing on the Thirds

Friday from 8 to 11 pm, Third St. Alliance, 41 N. Third St., Easton

Just dance. There. I quote *her*.

6. Latin Night

Friday from 10 pm to 2 am, Sangria, 840 W. Hamilton St., Allentown

Put on a fun dress and get out for a different kind of dance – Salsa, Meringue and Bachata (I don’t even know what that is!) There’s no cover and it looks like there’ll be great music. This looks like it may become a weekly event. Thank you, Sangria!

7. The 9th Annual Easton PA Spring Home Show

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Allentown Fairgrounds Agriplex, 302 N. 17th St., Allentown

Almost time for spring cleaning, renovations, sprucing, redecoration. All those things. Here’s some inspiration for you.

8. Get Inspiration for Your Garden

All Weekend

For the garden version of #7, check out yesterday’s post on this very website. The local resources abound! http://www.llpg.wpenginepowered.com/five-cool-places-to-start-planning-your-garden/

9. Take Some Time to Help the People Affected by the Explosion in Allentown

Because I’m sure these people are going to need ongoing help, here are some other ideas of ways you can help.
